Uniswap apps, which serve millions of users, are now fully live with MetaMask Connect across EVM networks and Solana. Anyone connecting to Uniswap apps with MetaMask—from the browser extension, a mobile browser, or the MetaMask mobile app—now goes through the same connection layer, and the same session infrastructure carries both ecosystems.
What Uniswap shipped
Uniswap took the multi-ecosystem path described in the MetaMask Connect integration options: @metamask/connect-evm and @metamask/connect-solana running side by side, each keeping the provider interface its ecosystem already expects.
On the EVM side, @metamask/connect-evm provides an EIP-1193 compatible provider and slots in through the wagmi metaMask connector. On Solana, @metamask/connect-solana implements Wallet Standard, so it works with the Solana Wallet Adapter setup Uniswap already had.
MetaMask Connect detects the user's platform and picks the connection method: it defers to the injected provider through EIP-6963 when the extension is installed, deeplinks into the MetaMask mobile app on mobile browsers and native apps, and falls back to a QR code on desktop without the extension. One integration covers all of it.
For teams weighing the same decision: the multi-ecosystem path keeps the per-chain interfaces your codebase already uses, at the cost of a separate connect step per ecosystem. @metamask/connect-multichain is the recommended option when you want EVM and Solana in a single session behind one approval prompt. All three paths share the same transport and session infrastructure, so starting with one and migrating later does not mean rebuilding your connection logic.
The numbers
As of September 30, 2026, roughly 157,000 people had connected to MetaMask through Uniswap using MetaMask Connect, across about 982,000 total connections. More than 17 million wallet actions—swaps, approvals, and other signed transactions—have flowed through Connect.
